Prototype of their new plate carrier. Doesn’t look too shabby if the price point is good. I’d definitely remove those 2 large buckles. As far as plate carriers go now, the less plastic the better, especially on the front as shown.

EGL is a big fan of Kryptek at least by scoping out their Facebook page. As of right now I’m not fully for Kryptek and I’m not against it. I will probably be an adopter of it once manufactures start using matching webbing and Velcro. Since printed webbing isn’t always available one way to do the MOLLE is to fold the fabric. Only thing is that it’s more time consuming and more labor intensive. The end result though, looks great!

How MOLLE Webbing Is Sewn
Most people think that MOLLE webbing is just simply sewn down with a normal sewing machine. What you should know is that a bar tacker (a form of sewing machine) is used instead. Bar tacks are way stronger than a standard straight stitch. Often times you’ll see standard stitching where it should be bar-tacked, usually a sign of poorly made gear.
